One day before the Odyssey commences and we get an e-mail to tell us that there has been a fire at the Mandarin Hotel in Bangkok - in which we were due to spend 4 nights at the end of the Odyssey!Perhaps not surprisingly, they now cannot guarantee our accommodation.
On the plus side, at least it didn't catch fire while we were actually there!
